thats kind of the theme of my blog at the moment. well i've done a lot since i last blogged... not surprising since its been a long time, oh well.
i just recently had a week long holiday from uni. it started on a fri and i went to queenstown, we were dancing at the sky city casino there that night. i stayed in queenstown that night then on sat we (john and i) went to wanaka to teach workshops over there, as soon as the workshops finished we had to leave and drive to milton because we had a dance demonstration there. i even got my picture in the local milton newspaper! then it was back to wanaka, we managed to get around 4 hours sleep and got up to go snowboarding on the sunday. i'd never been snowboarding (properly) before. well i had but only for about 20 minutes before i gave up cuz i couldn't do it. this time i stuck with it for the whole time, i had a lesson and i could actually do it. it was very different to skiing but it was enjoyable the same. then on the monday we were teaching in queenstown again and one of the dancers there works for a jet boat company and got us a ride on the jet boats the next day up the dart river for a few hours, it was totally fun! i have pictures to come! so the tuesday was on the jet boat and teaching in cromwell that night then back to dunedin on the wednesday to do a bit of uni stuff and work at the hall. thursday i went up to christchurch and hung out with nate that night. friday we went up to hanmer springs for a non working holiday :) i relaxed in the hotpools and went running a bit. i even played mini golf, which i totally suck at but hey thats okay. sunday night was back in christchurch and was amazing, i went to a stage show called floorplay but a group called burn the floor, it was fantastic, 16 of the 'worlds best dancers' (according to their website!) but they were pretty good. monday was back to reality and a whole lot of work waiting. its been nearly a week now and some of the work is still waiting but its been a very productive week!
