i spent a lot of hours in airports over the last bit of my life (read last two weeks)... i spent 4 hours in christchurch airport on the way home cuz that was just the way the flights went but on the way back to dunedin was a different story altogether... it was on fri and i wasnt supposed to have to spend too much time in the airports but i dropped my little cousin off to catch his flight in the morning and as he was an unaccompanied minor i couldnt just up and leave him there, that would have been plain rude but also against the rules of unacompanied minor travelling so we had to arrive half an hour before his flight and stay til the plane had taken off. his plane was late taking off too so i spent over an hour there that time and the palmy airport is not that interesting... then i had a lunch date with a friend and was late getting home to pack so i packed in a huge hurry and went back to the airport to check in for my flight... turns out i needn't have hurried, before i could even check in the airline had announced they had cancelled my flight... mechanical problems apparently stopped the plane arriving from auckland so there were no spare planes to take us to christchurch... they said hold on ten minutes and we'll let you know alternative arrangements... meanwhile ideas of bus-ing us all to wellington and flying us from there or flying us in the morning and the like were being tossed around by the staff while i was just thinking i'm not going to make it to the dance rehearsal tonight, and what if i dont make it to work tomorrow... anyway they then told us after we'd all been in the airport for another hour at least that they'd fly us from palmy to welly and welly to dunedin so i spent another few hours in airports that day... but there was a live band at the welly airport which was cool... anyway i better keep moving, i have dance tonight and i'm really looking forward to it cuz i haven't danced in ages.

i've remembered why i don't post while i'm at home. it's bacause most of the people who read my blog are at home and i see them lots while i'm here so i didn't really have any pressing news to blog with.
everyone's getting married and having kids, it's scary! i caught up with some old friends from high school and it seems that half my year group is off making families and stuff, it's so odd, i couldn't imagine myself as a mom at the moment.
i got new boots, i really like my new boots, they're white docs with roses imprinted in the leather.
i also like motorbikes, i went out riding on my friends motorbike yesterday, and no i didn't crash but i did get very wet! it was sunny when we went but when we got back it was pouring and i got very very wet. palmy took a page out of dunedin's weather books to be able to change that drastically that quickly. oh well, it was fun anyway.

today i was supposed to run an exercise class, just like i do every sunday afternoon, but today, not like every sunday afternoon, no-one showed up... maybe they're all in christchurch supporting one of the ladies who is doing a duathalon, who knows... maybe i'll find out next week... or maybe they are just sick of exercise and don't want to come back...

i'm half way thru my essay and getting annoyed at the invention of alcohol. drunk teenagers are very annoying to manage. i discovered that the essay is not worth 15% of my mark as i thought but actually worth 25% so i'm now stressing a little bit. it seemed so easy when i first read the assignment but now i am realising how hard it is, well i realised that a while ago and have already complained to you but now its really hard...

i won a bottle of wine last night... apparently its a really nice wine too, a medal winner in some flash competition... but i don't drink wine. i think i'll give it to my mom. i went to a social dance last night with some of the ceroc people and the theme was white night and i wore a sparkly white evening dress, it belongs to a friend of mine and is really stunning. i had my camera there and took some videos... but... when i got home i discovered that the edit function works differently than i thought and i deleted the good bits of the video not the bad bits... opps... theres always next time. still i was pretty annoyed with myself.

if the key doesnt fit the door won't open... sounds self explanatory but i got given the wrong key for the circuit gym at work for after hours access and today when i had two clients come through we couldnt get into the gym. luckily the security guard came to the rescue and saved us so we got to do the session a bit late but hey. moral of the story, check the key works before it gets to after hours time.
