WOW, oh my gosh, i've been totally blown away. you probably have been too with two posts from me so close together! those of you that have been around me much in the last year will know that i dance. a lot. well i was just totally blown away by what happened tonight. read on to find out, i have to explain a bit for it to be anywhere near as exciting for you. as you probably all know ive been studying alot recently and tonight i was having a study break. my flatmate has already moved her tv to her new flat so i decided to go for a run as i couldn't just blob in front of the telly. i ran 2 km uphill, then 1.5 downhill, then 2 km uphill again. i was pretty knackered when i got home. then i had a farewell night on for a friend who is leaving dunedin. i knew the venue was really small and not so good for dancing so i decided not to dance and this meant that i could wear a top and skirt that i can't dance in and wear my hair down. well about half way thru the night i thought what harm can one dance do. so i had one dance. there was a guy that had just walked in off the street and was watching us quite closely. thats not so uncommon as people often wonder what kind of dancing we are doing and want to ask questions. but this guy just kept watching and not talking to anyone. then he got up and asked sherlyn for a dance. sherlyn is the best female ceroc dancer in dunedin and he had her absolutely blown away. it turns out he is one of the best male ceroc dancers in new zealand and he was in dunedin for a conference and just happened to be walking past. i ended up having two dances with him and i was totally blown away, he is an amazing dancer and a great leader (ceroc for those of you who may not know is a partner dance where the guy leads the girl). so my not dancing, then my one dance, turned into my four, five, six, and more dances. it was a fantastic night tho and i just can not wait until i can dance with a dancer that good again. it may be a long time off yet tho (palmy and dunedin have no dancers anywhere near that good!!!)
ah well for me it was worth staying up and blogging about it. i hope you can feel my enthusiam for dancing thru this post, otherwise it may not make all that much sense to you.
